A prominent educational institution is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and deliver medications under supervision. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of relevant experience and required certifications. This role involves inventory management, maintaining quality assurance, and complying with legal standards.
Prepares and delivers medications to patients and/or nursing units under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner. Demonstrates the ability to competently work in different (omit) general and specialized areas of pharmacy practice.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: 6 months minimum relevant experience required
License/Certification: Commonwealth of Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration required. CPhT credential through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) orPharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs.
