Walgreens invests in an “earn while you learn” Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP & the Department of Labor. This apprenticeship helps you become a Pharmacy Technician Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), maintaining high industry standards and advancing your career.

Whether new or experienced, Walgreens will train you to serve and care for our patients and customers. Our program offers foundational and advanced knowledge, skills, and on-the-job experiences to prepare you for certification.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting pharmacists under supervision in pharmacy practice, complying with regulations and company policies.
• Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations.
• Providing excellent customer service and developing customer relationships.

Additional duties:

• Handling prescription processing, inventory management, and supporting clinical services.
• Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
• Completing training, earning and maintaining PTCB certification, and continuing education.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: six months retail experience, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, PTCB certification.
