Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and performing other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, complying with pharmacy codes and policies.
• Performing duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies related to pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and processing third-party claims efficiently.
• Supporting inventory management activities and maintaining knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assisting in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Building relationships with the local medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment.
• Complying with all policies and completing assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through training and continuing education, with certification as a condition for promotion.
• Attending training sessions and staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
