Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operations.
  • Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Customer Experience
  • Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.
Operations
  • Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including data entry, prescription filling, and verifying medications.
  • Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
  • Handling sales transactions, maintaining inventory, and supporting clinical services as needed.
  • Supporting relationships with healthcare providers and maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
Training & Personal Development
  • Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state registration; earning certification as a condition of promotion.
  • Participating in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
