Responsibilities include:
  1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting with other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
  2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
  3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Customer Experience
  • Greeting customers and patients, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure positive experiences.
  • Sharing customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.
Operations
  • Assisting in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting in workflow management.
  • Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to quality and dispensing policies.
  • Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and processing third-party claims.
  • Supporting inventory management, clinical services, and maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
  • Building relationships with the medical community and supporting outreach efforts.
Training & Personal Development
  • Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification.
  • Attending training sessions and acquiring continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
