Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in practicing pharmacy, and perform other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system and register operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions for a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices to ensure a memorable experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties like entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and supporting workflow as assigned by pharmacy management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality improvement policies.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and assist customers in locating products.
• Manage telephone inquiries, process third-party prescription claims, and support inventory activities.
• Support clinical services including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, stocked, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification, with certification required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training, earn continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
