As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you'll interact directly with customers and build strong patient relationships. Walgreens offers an “earn while you learn” Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP & the Department of Labor. This program guides you toward becoming a certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), helping you maintain high industry standards and advance your career.

Whether you're new or experienced, Walgreens will train you to serve and care for patients effectively. Our training includes courses, activities, and resources designed to prepare you for certification and a successful career in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in practicing pharmacy under supervision, following all regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support pharmacy operations.
• Deliver excellent customer service, greeting customers, resolving issues, and developing relationships.

Additional Duties

• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized pharmacy environment.

Training & Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program.
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferably have six months of retail experience and familiarity with Walgreens.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (excluding Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours.

Additional Information
