Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Our pharmacy technician positions have shifted from a transaction-based environment to a more patient-centric approach. As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you'll interact directly with customers and develop strong patient relationships. Walgreens invests in a comprehensive 'earn while you learn' Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP & the Department of Labor, guiding you toward becoming a certified Pharmacy Technician and maintaining high industry standards.

Whether you're new or experienced, Walgreens provides training to help you serve and care for patients and customers, offering foundational and advanced knowledge, skills, and on-the-job experiences to prepare for certification.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting pharmacists under supervision, following regulations and company policies.
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and obtain patient and drug information.
• Delivering excellent customer service and building customer relationships.

Additional duties:

• Supporting pharmacy operations, including inventory management, prescription filling, and clerical tasks.
• Supporting clinical services and community outreach.
• Maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment.

Training & Personal Development:

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through Walgreens' training program.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in retail, prior Walgreens experience, math skills, computer skills, and PTCB certification.
