Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist, under supervision, in practicing pharmacy according to state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy staff.
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, resolving issues, and building relationships.

Operations

• Support pharmacy operations including data entry, prescription filling, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handle cash register transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party prescription claims.
• Support inventory management and clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification, attend training, and pursue continuing education.
• Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred experience includes retail work, prior Walgreens employment, good math and computer skills, and store inventory knowledge. PTCB certification is a plus.
