Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision, in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with system operation if PTCB certified.
• Deliver a positive and distinctive customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure satisfaction.
• Share customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Build relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Support pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Enter patient and drug data, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and assist with workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality programs.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims.
• Support inventory management, clinical services, and community outreach efforts.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintain PTCB certification and participate in ongoing training and education.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferably have six months retail experience, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, and knowledge of inventory control. PTCB certification is preferred.
