Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Perform other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians in pharmacy system operations and cashiers in cash register operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience:

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations:

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.
• Perform duties including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow and inventory management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and safety policies.
• Handle sales transactions, customer assistance in OTC aisles, and support clerical duties.
• Support clinical services and maintain relationships with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment and support inventory activities.

Training & Personal Development:

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state certification. Certification is a condition for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include being fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
