Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties following Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians in pharmacy system operations and support cashiers with pharmacy transactions.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers and patients, resolving issues, and answering questions.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, and develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and safety policies.
• Handle sales transactions and assist customers in locating products.
• Process third-party prescription claims and support inventory management activities.
• Support clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment and support asset protection efforts.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, as required.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
