UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in a hospital setting under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in Summit, NJ. You will prepare, deliver, restock medications and handle order entry, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
The role requires a NJ-licensed technician, prior experience with pharmacy systems, and a commitment to patient safety. Shifts may include weekends and holidays; benefits and advancement opportunities are provided.
The Pharmacy Technician will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position does not have regularly scheduled hours and will cover shifts as needed. Shifts will vary between Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 9:00pm. This position may be required to work weekends and holidays as needed.
About the Facility: Summit Oaks Hospital, a private psychiatric and chemical dependency center has been serving the Northeast Region since 1902. The facility includes a 126-bed hospital and an outpatient counseling center that serves children, adolescents, and adults. Summit Oaks is licensed by the state of New Jersey and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
