Position Details

• Compensation Range: $36.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Department: 839000 Pharmacy
• Expectations: Under the supervision of a pharmacist, performs medication distribution tasks accurately, timely, and safely. Maintains current California Pharmacy Technician Registration. Flexibility in hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED. Diploma or transcripts of highest degree earned required.
• Experience/Training: Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred. For Anticoagulation Department: prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an acute care hospital preferred. CPhT certification by PTCB preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Required: Current Registered Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. Preferred: CPhT certification by PTCB.
• Skills: Aseptic Technique, Chemotherapy Compounding Certification, proficiency with Automated Dispensing and Cadet Unit Dosing Machines, knowledge of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations.
