The position serves patients across age groups and requires a Georgia pharmacy license and a high school diploma, with preferred experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings. You will help with inventory, prescription entry, labeling, and customer service while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
• First attempt of certification exam should be completed within six months of hire.
• Certification must be obtained by the third attempt or at 12 months of hire.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Minimum Experience: At least one year experience retail or hospital pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ordering, receipt, processing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals to ensure efficient departmental operation.
• Communicate regularly to appropriate ordering source the amount of medication to maintain inventory and handle current prescription volume.
• Assist pharmacist in preparation of prescriptions.
• Enter new prescriptions into the computer system.
• Recall refills from the computer database to prepare prescription labels.
• Prepare the container with appropriate warning labels and prescription label for medication.
