Job summary

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
• Certification exam should be completed within six months of hire; must be obtained by the third attempt or at 12 months.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ordering, receipt, processing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals to ensure efficient operation.
• Enter new prescriptions into the computer system and prepare labels.
• Recall refills from the database to prepare prescriptions and labels.
• Select appropriate medications from inventory and count accurately.
• Assist pharmacist in serving customers and meeting their needs.
• Operate cash register and reconcile sales; maintain pharmacy processes.
• Maintain insurance/counseling log in compliance with regulations.
• Check refrigerator temperatures daily and assist in department projects.
• Provide training and feedback to staff when needed.
