Job summary

Kroger is seeking a pharmacy clerk to support daily operations in an Alabama store. You will deliver exceptional customer service, assist the pharmacist, handle cash transactions, and maintain compliant, confidential records in a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include inventory management, processing payments, and providing accurate product dispensing support while upholding HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers and employees in a fair, ethical, and safe environment.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Understand and perform ordering functions with wholesalers; use computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of medications and supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized work stations and customer waiting areas.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities except those requiring professional judgement.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Operate cash register and process transactions securely including EFTs and gift cards.
• Provide accurate reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing support.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and customer care programs.
• Handle legend orders and central fill deliveries as needed.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
