Job summary

Kroger in Kansas seeks a pharmacy technician to support health and wellness initiatives, assist pharmacists, and ensure compliant dispensing and data handling. You’ll maintain licenses, adhere to HIPAA, and deliver a high level of customer service in a busy store pharmacy.

You will participate in reception and data entry, assist clerks/technicians, and help with non-dispensing services and screenings, while following safety and sanitation guidelines across the operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy health and wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain current national/state registration, certification, or license.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities excluding professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience across reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing steps.
• Support coaching and training of clerks/technicians.
• Compound medications per state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information.
• Support non-dispensing services via various platforms and apps.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings per state and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed by regulators.
• Comply with sanitation and safety guidelines; report unsafe conditions.
