Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Jackson, Wyoming is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to provide friendly, accurate service at the pharmacy counter. You will assist pharmacists, dispense over-the-counter products, handle cash, and ensure patient privacy under HIPAA while maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.

You will follow store procedures for inventory, ordering, and safe handling of medications, while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced environment with teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
• Follow food safety, sanitation and safety regulations and programs per health code
• Understand and perform ordering with primary and secondary wholesalers
• Follow guidelines on inventory management and purchasing of medications, devices, supplements and supplies
• Maintain clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas
• Count, measure and prepare specified product according to best practices
• Complete billing procedures to maximize value for customers and the company
• Answer phone and triage calls
• Adhere to vendor coupon guidelines and cash shortage controls
• Operate cash register and process payments (card, EBT, cash)
• Provide stellar customer experience through reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring professional judgment
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and policies
• Support company health and wellness initiatives
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
• Manage conflicts calmly
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
• Provide interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
