Job summary

King Soopers, part of The Kroger Co. in Colorado, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness initiatives and assist pharmacists with dispensing and related tasks.

You will handle reception, data entry, audits, and patient interactions while adhering to HIPAA and safety regulations. A valid state/national license or registration is required, along with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain required state/national registration, certification, or licensure.
• Assist pharmacist with duties not requiring professional judgement.
• Provide exceptional patient experience during reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps.
• Coach and train clerks/technicians.
• Compound medications per regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data.
• Support non-dispensing services via platforms and applications.
• Perform CLIA-waived screenings per laws and policies.
• Offer additional health and wellness services as allowed by regulators.
• Ensure sanitation and safety regulations are followed and report hazards.
• Report illegal activity (robbery, theft, fraud).
• Perform essential job functions with/without accommodations.
