Job summary

CVS Health in Newark, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy teams and support safe, accurate prescription fulfillment. You will assist pharmacists, manage patient interactions, and help maintain store operations with a focus on quality and care.

This full-time role requires attention to detail, strong customer service and the ability to work across shifts while adhering to SOPs and regulatory requirements. Anticipated weekly hours: 40.

Qualifications

• Must comply with state board requirements, education and licensure.
• Age minimum: at least 16 years where required by state law.
• State licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
• Active enrollment in a high school program acceptable where allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused service at pharmacy front lines and drive‑thru.
• Assist pharmacists with safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and SOPs.
• Follow laws and SOPs, maintain inventory and proper labeling.
• Support teammates, learn and adapt to store workflow and shifts.
• Communicate clearly with patients and team to ensure care quality.
