Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Caledonia, Michigan to support licensed pharmacists by counting tablets, labeling bottles, stocking products, and assisting patients with prescriptions and insurance forms. The role requires a high school diploma, customer-service experience, and strong attention to detail.

You’ll operate the register, maintain patient profiles, and follow HIPAA and store policies in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of customer service–or pharmacy-related experience preferred.
• Must have state registration or certification.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Stock and inventory medications (prescription and OTC).
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Accurately operate cash register, display costs, and issue receipts.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-stocked department; follow HIPAA and policies.
• Assist pharmacist with delegated tasks and patient counseling as needed.
