Responsibilities

• Verify prescription information before processing
• Enter prescription data into computer systems
• Count, label, and package medications; double-count all prescriptions
• Scan handwritten prescriptions and ensure correct drug and dosage
• Counsel patients when necessary and refer questions to the pharmacist
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and basic administrative duties
• Support pharmacists during patient transactions and consultations
