Job summary

CAN Community Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time day shift. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.

Pay rate ranges from $21.15 to $24.33 hourly based on experience. You will work directly with pharmacists to fulfill prescriptions, manage inventory, assist patients, and input patient and prescription data into our pharmacy systems. Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience.
• Registration with the Pharmacy Technician Florida State Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience in pharmacy practice or health care setting helpful.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills prescription medication orders and maintains inventory under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Answer phone and assist customers.
• Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Enter patient information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Contact new patients for demographic and insurance information.
• Notify patients upon receiving new antibiotic scripts and process accordingly.
• Maintain updated patient profiles including allergies.
• Communicate with prescribers for clarification as directed by the pharmacist.
• Handle intake and typing of new and refill prescriptions; process refill requests.
