Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefers experience in prior pharmacy technician health system roles (inpatient, IV/infusion, retail, mail order, or repackaging).
• Current CPhT certification is preferred.
• Must have current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures to prepare and distribute medication orders and sterile products under pharmacist supervision.
• Operates a cash register, handles charges, and ensures accurate payment collection.
• Prepares for shifts with correct cash and workstation readiness.
• Maintains inventory records and prescription hardcopies; supports pharmacy operations and cashier duties.
• Assists with prescription entry into ambulatory systems as needed and supports cleanliness and stocking in pharmacy areas.
• Keeps up-to-date with applicable laws, policies, accreditation requirements, and licensure; maintains ongoing professional development.
