Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, seeks an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to support medication delivery and inventory management within a clinical setting. You will assist with patient, provider, and customer care, using the pharmacy computer system to facilitate care and ensure accurate labeling and distribution of medications.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and certification within 2 years (PTCB or NHA), with state registration as a Pharmacy Technician

Qualifications

• Education requirement: High school diploma or GED.
• Certification within 2 years: PTCB or NHA.
• State board registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee/Tech/Intern in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient/provider/customer care.
• Use the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient care.
• Participate in patient/provider/customer care activities that do not require the pharmacist.
• Prepare and label medications for distribution.
• Retrieve, review and perform inventory management for medications and supplies.
• Maintain pharmacy records.
