Job summary

NuvemRx is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in serving patients at the Philadelphia location. The role involves preparing prescriptions, processing insurance claims, and maintaining pharmacy operations in a compliant environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, verifying prescriptions, coordinating delivery, and ensuring HIPAA/HITECH compliance. Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with weekends and most federal holidays closed.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of Pennsylvania.
Availability Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist with serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department.
Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
Greet customers and answer questions.
Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
Process prescriptions electronically and ensure information is complete and accurate.
Resolve issues with insurance claims and other concerns.
Measure dosages and prepare medications for dispensing.
Coordinate medication delivery and communicate with patients.
Assist with administrative tasks and maintain records.
Stay compliant with HIPAA, HITECH, and FWA credentialing.
Support clinical and non-clinical operations and report issues to the Pharmacist.
