Job summary

Avita Pharmacy in Austin, TX seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist Pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescribed medications and delivering patient care and education. This full-time role requires Texas Board of Pharmacy registration and national certification (PTCB or NHA).

The candidate should have 1+ year of technician experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with PioneerRx or QSI. Daily duties include label affixing, POS transactions, and coordinating deliveries.

Qualifications

• One or more years of related Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Must be currently registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
• National Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to type 30+ wpm.
• Experience with pharmacy software such as PioneerRx or QSI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescribed medications.
• Help Pharmacists provide patient care and education.
• Remove drug(s) from stock; count, pour, or mix pharmaceuticals.
• Place product into a container and affix labels.
• Package/repackage as needed and enter prescription information.
