Job summary

Equitas Health Pharmacy in Columbus, OH is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join a team focused on accurate prescription processing, insurance verification, and exceptional patient service. You will collect patient information, verify coverage, and ensure lowest out-of-pocket costs while collaborating with pharmacists and the Equitas Health Medical Center.

Preferred candidates have two years of pharmacy technician experience, familiarity with PioneerRx, and a solid knowledge of pharmacy

Qualifications

• Two years pharmacy technician experience preferred, especially in specialty/340B settings.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS health and social service needs.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse communities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with PioneerRx preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to Equitas Health Pharmacy patients.
• Process prescriptions with accurate insurance verification and lowest out-of-pocket costs.
• Fill prescriptions accurately and hand to the pharmacist for checking.
• Collaborate with the Equitas Health Medical Center and other staff; represent the pharmacy.
• Complete daily paperwork per pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management and regulatory compliance.
• Obtain prescription authorizations and prior authorizations.
• Learn OHDAP and 340B intricacies.
• Follow policies and procedures for 340B processing.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and respect for diversity.
• Other duties as assigned by Pharmacy management.
