Job summary

Martin's Point Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a part-time role (24 hours/week). The position offers a daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

with scheduling flexibility within these hours. A $750 sign-on bonus is available for part-time hires. Responsibilities include maintaining patient profiles, handling prescription orders, and supporting pharmacy operations while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate medication records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical setting and/or knowledge of pharmacy terms and abbreviations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains accurate patient profiles including demographics, insurance, allergies, etc.
• Balances quality and efficiency in the performance of all pharmacy tasks.
• Answers routine inquiries regarding health plan drug coverage, prices, and formulary listings.
• Uses discretion and good judgment in dealing with patients and clinical staff.
• Adheres to HIPAA and regulatory requirements to protect customer privacy.
• Performs data entry, filling, shipping, call center, register, and inventory tasks.
• Uses Athena EMR to coordinate with internal staff on refills and non-clinical questions.
• Reviews medication purchases to support best cost decisions for patients.
• Serves as a professional role model within the pharmacy and broader organization.
• Maintains positive attitude and collaborates with colleagues to enhance patient care.
• Participates in meetings and process improvements with visual management and metrics.
