Job summary

Amplify Health is seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians for our Apex Careplex office in Apex, NC. Under the direction of a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager, or Director of Pharmacy, you will provide a combination of institutional and community pharmacy services and deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume environment.

The role requires completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program or an Associates Degree and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program or an Associates Degree in Pharmacy Technology from a NCBOP approved institution.
• Preferred: at least 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience; bilingual Spanish/English; experience with pharmacy computer software.

Responsibilities

• Prescription processing at all workstations: prescription intake, data entry, filling, operating a register.
• Ensure accurate billing of prescriptions, considering insurance, copay cards, price matching, etc.
• Manage workflow in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while multitasking.
• Manage multiple drug inventories (physical and virtual) according to program policies (340B, WAC, clinic stock).
• Provide friendly support services to clinic staff.
• Assist with administrative functions for department success.
• Under the pharmacist, complete and document in the EMR Prior Authorizations for clinic providers.
• Assist patients with complicated medication regimens by organizing and packaging medications in adherence packaging cards.
• Document pharmacy communications in the patient EMR/patient profile on prescription processing software.
• Assist patients with drug assistance applications after other affordable resources exhausted.
