Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking a pharmacy technician to support dispensing operations at our Michigan locations. You will retrieve medications, input prescriptions, process insurance claims, and ensure accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities include labeling, ordering, stocking medications, and promoting clinical services while maintaining an organized, compliant workspace and strong customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or state requirements met.
• Retail/Community Practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance expected.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve appropriate medication from inventory.
• Input customer and prescription information in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
• Use strong communication skills and act as an agent of change.
• Maintain a clean, orderly pharmacy and ensure patient information confidentiality.
