Job summary

Meijer is seeking a pharmacy team member to support dispensing activities, maintain accurate records, and assist customers with care and service.

Responsibilities include data entry, labeling, claims adjudication, and medication stocking in a fast-paced retail setting. A High School diploma or equivalent and strong customer service skills are required; experience in retail pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medications from inventory for dispensing.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the pharmacy system.
• Create prescription labels and process insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to prescription fulfillment and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock medications and maintain pharmacy cleanliness and organization.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
