Job summary

Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin, seeks a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join the La Crosse Clinic Pharmacy team. You will work with pharmacists to accurately enter prescriptions, prepare labels, and fill orders, supporting patient care across our Love + Medicine network.

Qualified candidates have a Wisconsin registered pharmacy technician license and completion of an accredited training program or 1+ year experience; national certification (CPhT/ExCPT) is required or pursued

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program or at least one year of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in Wisconsin.
  • Nationally recognized pharmacy technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT), or willingness to become certified within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Enter prescription data, calculate dispensing quantities, prepare medication labels, and fill prescriptions.
  • Compound non-sterile products and manage inventory.
  • Prepare prescriptions for delivery or shipment.
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Assist with staffing at other Gundersen pharmacy locations as needed.

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a full‑time Pharmacy Technician for our La Crosse Clinic Pharmacy. In this role, you’ll work alongside pharmacists to deliver Love + Medicine to our patients.

What you’ll do:
  • Work full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Enjoy flexible scheduling options, including day and evening shifts, rotating weekends, and holiday coverage
  • Enter prescription data, calculate dispensing quantities, prepare medication labels, and fill prescriptions
  • Compound non‑sterile products and manage inventory needs
  • Prepare prescriptions for delivery or shipment
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
  • Assist with staffing at other Gundersen pharmacy locations as needed
What you’ll get:
  • Hourly wage: $19.05 + more based on experience, plus additional pay for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
