PharMerica is seeking Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians to accurately enter and process medication orders, working closely with pharmacists to ensure timely, safe patient care. This role emphasizes attention to detail, high-volume efficiency, and compliance with pharmacy regulations.

This remote opportunity requires NC licensure for initial placement, with six weeks of on-site training in Raleigh, NC. After training, successful candidates transition to remote work while meeting performance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure processing compliance.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate management reports.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.

Remote Opportunity for North Carolina-Licensed Pharmacy Technicians

This is a remote opportunity for qualified Pharmacy Technicians who hold an active pharmacy technician license or registration in the state of North Carolina.

To ensure a successful transition into the role, all new hires are required to complete six weeks of mandatory, on-site training at our PharMerica location in Raleigh, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to commute to the Raleigh location for the full duration of the initial training period. Upon successful completion of the six-week training period, employees will transition to a remote work arrangement, subject to meeting all training and performance expectations.
