PharMerica is hiring a full-time Order Entry Pharmacy Technician in Raleigh, NC. This role focuses on accurately entering medication orders in a computerized system and collaborating with pharmacists to ensure timely, compliant processing. New hires complete six weeks of on-site training before transitioning to remote work.

Remote opportunity available for NC technicians who are registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy; training occurs at PharMerica in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.

PharMerica is hiring full-time Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians in Raleigh, NC!

As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for accurately entering and processing medication orders to ensure timely and safe patient care. In this role, you'll work closely with pharmacists and operations teams to input prescription data, verify information, and maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations. This is a remote opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians who are actively registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.

To ensure a successful transition into the role, all new hires are required to complete six weeks of mandatory, on-site training at our PharMerica location in Raleigh, NC. Candidates must be able to commute to the Raleigh location for the full duration of the initial training period. Upon successful completion of the six-week training period, employees will transition to a remote work arrangement, subject to meeting all training and performance expectations.
