Job summary

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in filling prescriptions, answering calls, labeling, and filing. You will contact doctors for refill authorizations, assist with stock ordering, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinic and satellite sites.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience, Ohio registration, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months pharmacy technician experience, required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in filling clinic and satellite prescriptions and supplies.
• Answer phones, take walk-in information, type labels, file prescriptions.
• Call doctors for refill authorizations and contact physicians as needed.
• Assist in stock ordering, receiving, and stocking shelves.
• Maintain related records and prepare communications/reports.
• Operate cash register and computer; manage third-party billing as needed.
• Keep the pharmacy orderly, accurate, and compliant with regulations.
