Job summary

Neighborhood Health Association in Toledo, OH is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to manage patient education and safe dispensing of medications. You will coordinate with providers, technicians, and patients while ensuring inventory integrity and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent business acumen, strong communication with diverse patients, and meticulous organizational skills in a fast-paced pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacist with the State of Ohio is required.
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Pleasant personality with strong patient communication and respect for customers.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients and manage side effects as applicable; accurately label and fill prescriptions per directions.
  • Recognize potential drug interactions when dispensing multiple medications.
  • Maintain tight control on inventory and scheduled drugs.
  • Serve as administrator and coordinator between providers, technicians, patients and the public.
  • Ensure a professional atmosphere and security within the Pharmacy and organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform patient education and side effects, if any. Must be able to type label and compound or fill the prescription(s) as directed.
  • Recognize the potential drug interactions when two or more medications are dispensed.
  • Keep a tight control on inventory and scheduled drugs.
  • A good administrator and coordinator between providers, technicians, patients, and the general public.
  • Make sure that the professional atmosphere of the Pharmacy as well as the organization has tight security and is always maintained.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Pharmacist with the State of Ohio, BS in Pharmacy required.
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Pleasant personality, ability to communicate well to the patient and treat all customers with dignity and respect.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
