Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions, perform clerical duties, and assist under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours are Mon–Thu 7:30am–5:00pm CST with lunch 12:00–12:30, and Fri 7:30am–11:30am CST at 2751 Wooddale Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70805. Join our team delivering coordinated care for behavioral health patients.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Louisiana.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Assists pharmacist with pharmacy functions and compliance with state/federal requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
