Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy in Kittanning, PA. You will dispense prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and handle clerical duties in a team-based setting.

Hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with a half-hour lunch. Requires PA Pharmacy Technician license or trainee status with six-month licensure goal, plus reliable transportation and driving license.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in PA or an active Pharmacy Trainee License with ability to obtain state license within 6 months.
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US Driver's License.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
