Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Reading, PA to support the mental health pharmacy operations. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical tasks under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm; Wednesday 8:30am-6:00pm; Friday 8:30am-4:00pm with a lunch break. Join a team dedicated to improving patient care and access to medications.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinics.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Supports the pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing.

Pharmacy Technicianto support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours:Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am-5:00pm, Wednesdays from 8:30am-6:00pm and Fridays from 8:30am-4:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:0 p>

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Activeand unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Pennsylvania
• 1+ years of previous Pharmacy Technician experience
• Access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
