Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at our Mishawaka location to assist licensed pharmacists by preparing medications and handling patient profiles and insurance forms. You will stock, label, and dispense medications, maintain pharmacy records, and deliver customer service in a retail setting.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, verifying counts, and ensuring accurate cash handling while upholding HIPAA and store policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more of customer service-oriented pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must have state registration or certification.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock and take inventory of medications (prescription and over the counter).
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Accurately operate cash register, display cost of customer purchase, make change, cash checks, and issue receipt.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Abide by HIPAA and all legal policies and procedures.
