Job summary

Responsibilities include counting tablets, labeling bottles, stocking products, processing prescriptions, maintaining patient profiles and insurance forms, and delivering friendly customer service to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service-oriented pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must have the state-appropriate registration or certification.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive selling/knowledge of products; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Stock and inventory medications (prescription and OTC).
• Notify Pharmacy Manager of supplies that need ordering.
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain patient profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Operate cash register, display costs, make change, cash checks, and issue receipts.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department.
• Abide by HIPAA and all policies and procedures.
• Assist pharmacist on duty with delegated tasks.
