Job summary

SpartanNash in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists by preparing medications, counting tablets, labeling bottles, and processing prescriptions. You will maintain patient profiles and assist with insurance claims, contributing to accurate financials and patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma, state registration or certification, and ideally one year of related experience in a retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service-oriented pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must have state registration or certification.

Responsibilities

• Stock and inventory medications (prescription and OTC).
• Notify Pharmacy Manager for supplies to order.
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Operate cash register and handle purchases.
• Maintain a clean and stocked department.
• Adhere to HIPAA and policies.
