Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician at Family Fare in Battle Creek, MI. You will assist licensed pharmacists by preparing medications, stocking products, handling insurance forms, and supporting customers in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prefer 1 year of pharmacy-related customer service with state registration or certification. Strong math, attention to detail, and adherence to HIPAA are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year pharmacy-related customer service experience preferred. Must have state registration or certification.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products.
• Detail Oriented.

Responsibilities

• Stock and inventory medications (prescription and OTC).
• Notify Pharmacy Manager of supplies/products to order.
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Operate cash register, display costs, make change, issue receipt.
• Familiarity with all products carried in the department.
• Maintain a clean, well stocked department.
• Abide by HIPAA and all policies and procedures.
• Assist pharmacist on duty other than final verification of prescriptions.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
