Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center Hospital in West Palm Beach is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists with dispensing, inventory control, sterile product prep, and IV admixture preparation per USP 797/800 where applicable.

You will fill and label orders, stock ADCs, prepare crash carts, deliver medications, and maintain accurate records while ensuring pharmacist oversight for all dispensing activities. Hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician or Intern Licensee.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB preferred.
• Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV Admixture Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner.
• Accurately stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) in a timely manner.
• Fill/refill emergency crash carts, boxes, and kits timely and accurately.
• Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain appropriate records.
• Respond to requests for STAT orders, routine orders, department requests, and ADC stock out bulletins.
• Assure all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
