Job summary

PharMerica, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician in Worthington, OH. You will join a dedicated team serving long-term care and senior living clients in a non-retail setting.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm with every 3rd weekend, plus 2 holidays. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for training and career growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management; check stock and remove expired meds.
• Handle returned medications per protocol (credit or destruction).
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Work in the Narcotics Room and operate automated prepack machines.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (RxNow).
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.
