PharMerica in Worthington, OH is hiring a full-time Automation Pharmacy Technician to join a closed-door, non-retail pharmacy serving long-term care and senior living clients. You will fill prescriptions, compound non-sterile meds, and manage labels while supporting inventory and drug handling in a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, professional communication, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.
• Detail oriented with good communication; works well in a team.
• Now proficient in labeling and prescription data entry processes.
• Experience with non-sterile compounding and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in inventory management and handle returns per protocol.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist onboarding and training new staff.
• Operate automated machines to prepack medications and service dispensing machines.
• Support IV preparation and IV room sanitation.
