Job summary
The South Dakota Veterans Home in Hot Springs, SD seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the on-site pharmacist with data entry, order retrieval, and medication preparation across multiple systems. This full-time role involves detailed billing, unit-dose preparation, and delivering medications throughout the facility.
Ideal candidates will have SD licensure, CPR certification, and a professional, patient-facing demeanor with strong computer aptitude to learn McKesson, American Data and EPIC
Qualifications
- Active SD Pharmacy Technician license required.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Data entry and reconciliation across McKesson, American Data and EPIC systems.
- Retrieve medication orders electronically and from care units.
- Prepare medications and deliver throughout the facility.
- Bill third-party payors for prescription costs and prepare med minders.
- Check supply and dating on medication carts and cupboards.
