An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution. This role involves preparing medications for automatic dispensing systems, repackaging into unit-dose blister packs, and managing medication inventories. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and preferably a Pharmacy Technician Training Program certification, along with a Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II License. This position offers flexibility with a per diem schedule, requiring availability for at least six shifts per month, including weekends. Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in all aspects of the medication preparation and distribution processes. Duties include preparation of medications for distribution to automatic dispensing cabinets, repackaging into unit-dose blister packs, and various medication inventory functions. Technicians will also participate in the documentation of medication histories of patients at the point of admission. Assists Pharmacist in performing routine duties in hospital pharmacy.
High school graduate
Preferably a graduate of Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Must Have Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II License. Skills in Math, typing, and computers are necessary.
Per Diem, employees who agree to be available 6 shifts per month, including 2 weekend shifts.
